Scholarship Awards

Your 2022 Annual Meeting took place on Monday, May 2.  Argent is proud to announce that three deserving youths were awarded a scholarship in the amount of $2,500 each to help with their continuing education.  Alexandra Mays, Samuel Huff, and Sydney Keene. Each recipient has been awarded a scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to help with their continuing education.

Alexandra Mays

Alexandra Mays

Alexandra has been awarded the Ruby A. Robinson Scholarship.

Alexandra is currently enrolled at Manchester High School.  She is undecided on where she will be attending college, but plans to major in psychology.  Alexandra is a member of the National Honor Society, The French Honors society, SMART Mentoring Program, and the MHS Lancer Dancers.  She volunteers with Lancer Dancer Invitational, Stop the Bleed, and SAT day.  She is a varsity letter winner, an AP Scholar, and has been awarded for making straight A’s.  She is currently employed by Chick-Fil-A.

Samuel Huff

Samuel has been awarded the Ruby A. Robinson Scholarship.

Samuel is a senior at Midlothian High School and will be attending the College of William and Mary where he will be majoring in International Relations with a minor in either French or Linguistics.  He participates in the marching band, Track and Field, Show Band, French Club and Model UN.  He has volunteered for the Special Olympics, Church Worship Team, Midlothian Showcase of Bands, and the Scholastic Bowl.  Honors include Academic Letter, All District Band, AP Scholar, and Seal of Biliteracy in French.  He is currently employed by Cash Cow Books.

Sydney Keene

Sydney Keene

Sydney has been awarded the Rose E. Baggerly Rising Leaders Scholarship.

Sydney is currently a senior at Cosby High School.  She is planning on attending Longwood and will be pursuing a degree in nursing.  Sydney is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.  In her spare time she volunteers at the Chesterfield Food Bank and with the EMT.  Her numerous honors and awards include President’s list for straight A’s, WISE Financial Literacy Certified, EMT Certified, and VCU Monroe Scholar’s Book award.  She is currently employed by Chick-Fil-A.
