Unfortunately, challenging times like these can cause serious financial hardship. If you need financial support due to the coronavirus, we’re here to help. We have a number of loan relief programs available.

  • Loan payment deferment: Defer loan payments for up to 3 months on eligible auto, personal, credit card, and real estate loans.* A loan payment deferment provides the ability to skip predetermined monthly payments. Your current due date will be advanced, interest will continue to accrue, and the maturity date of your loan will be extended.
  • Waiving Skip-A-Pay fees: We’re waiving the processing fee on our entire Skip-a-Payment* program.
  • Make no payments for 60 days on refinanced auto loans: Enjoy the opportunity to take a break from making an auto payment when you refinance your auto loan from another financial institution.*

In addition, we are temporarily waiving early withdrawal penalties on CDs.

Argent Credit Union Annual Meeting Postponed
Argent Credit Union’s Annual Meeting, originally scheduled for May 4, 2020 has been postponed as part of our efforts to help keep our employees, members, and the community safe and to limit potential COVID-19 spread and exposure. Information on a new date will be communicated when finalized. Thank you for your understanding.

Economic Impact Payments
Economic Impact Payments are being distributed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to eligible recipients. To get your funds faster, the IRS recommends signing up for direct deposit. For more information, please visit the IRS website.

If you wish to receive your funds directly into your Argent account, you will need to provide the IRS with Argent’s Routing/Transit Number: 251082233. For more information on direct deposit, please click here.

Mobile Banking: As long as you have a mobile device, you can stay connected and access your accounts 24/7. Download our App in the App Store and Google Play.

Mobile Check Deposit: Don’t walk around with checks waiting to make a trip to Argent. Safely deposit them as soon as you receive them from virtually anywhere. To use mobile deposit, log into Mobile Banking.

Phone Banking: our phone banking service gives you anytime access your account. Verify balances, deposits, or checks cleared, transfer funds, make a loan payment and more. Call (804) 275-6259.

 

Protect Yourself from Cybercriminals
Unfortunately during times of crisis, scams and criminal activity increase.

Be on the lookout for phishing emails that may appear to come from a trusted source. Never click on unknown attachments, links or provide personal information via an unsecure website.

Be cautious of emails and phone calls offering unexpected or unprompted information or in which the sender/caller requests your personal information.

SBA Loans, Payment Protection Program (PPP)
Argent Credit Union does not currently offer SBA loans. Please check www.sba.gov for guidance and resources.

* Please contact us at (804) 748-9488 for more information and program options on payment relief solutions. All loans are not eligible for loan payment deferment, skip-a-payment, or no payments for 60 days. Interest will continue to accrue on the unpaid balance during the period you defer a payment. The deferral of loan payments could automatically extend the loan maturity date by a corresponding period of time, reduce the portion of future payments applied to principal resulting in a larger final payment, or negative amortization. When payments resume, unpaid interest may be collected first. You acknowledge that deferring a payment might affect the amount of life, disability or GAP claims.  The Credit Union reserves the right to refuse any loan payment deferment request. Certain restrictions apply.

Lobby Access at Branches will close to the general public starting on Saturday, March 21, 2020

For the health and safety of staff and membership, we will temporarily close all Argent Credit Union lobbies to the general public beginning Saturday, March 21, 2020. Drive thru service will be available for teller transactions only. Staples Mill branch located inside the Anthem building will be temporarily closed.

It is important for you to know that management has a response plan including policies and procedures in place to help protect you and promote continuation of business operations including uninterrupted access to your Argent accounts.

Lobby Access at Branches will close to the general public starting on Saturday, March 21, 2020.

In response to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines of social distancing, we have decided to close all Argent Credit Union lobbies to the general public effective Saturday, March 21, 2020 until further notice. In addition, we will also close the Staples Mill branch, located inside the Anthem building. Drive thru service will be available for teller transactions only. Please contact us at (804) 748-9488 if you need to schedule an appointment for limited face-to-face transactions. ATMs will remain available for deposits, withdrawals and inquiries.

We’ve implemented a number of precautionary steps to help minimize the possibility of spreading coronavirus in the local community including:

  • Suspended all non-essential travel for staff outside of the local Richmond area.
  • Increased scope of janitorial services including additional sanitation of branches and equipment.
  • Limited face-to-face meetings with outside vendors. We encourage the utilization of technology to help with any needed communication requirements.
  • Promoted effective hygiene practices based upon the recommendations of national and local health agencies.
  • Reassigned branch staff to support remote channels including call center.

Convenient and Secure Alternatives to visiting a branch

We strongly recommend utilizing Argent’s electronic services including online banking and mobile banking with remote deposit capture for your everyday banking needs. You can apply for a loan online, view account information, send secure message and more.

Argent Credit Union’s electronic services include:

  • Mobile Deposit – Through our Mobile app, take a picture of a check to make a deposit.
  • Bill Pay – Safely and securely send a payment instead of paying by check.
  • Popmoney – Send money to anyone, even if they don’t have a Popmoney account. Simply log into online banking to use this service.

If you are not currently enrolled in Home Banking, click the “Enroll Now” button up top under the Home Banking Login.
