Argent Merger FAQs
Partners Financial FCU is Merging with Argent!
As an existing Argent member, we know you have some questions. Read below to find out how the merger will affect you.
Why are the credit unions merging?
After thoughtful consideration, the Board and Management of both credit unions believe a consolidation of resources will maximize member value and increase employee satisfaction. For Argent Credit Union, this merger helps achieve a long-term strategic objective of growing our branch footprint. In February 2024, upon system integration, Partners Financial’s four retail branches will convert to Argent branches, doubling Argent’s branch network to 8 locations across the greater Richmond region.
What will be the effective date of the merger?
October 1, 2023 has been established as the “official” merger date. However, until February 1, 2024, Partners Financial FCU members will continue to conduct transactions as they do today.
Will Argent’s name change?
No. Argent Credit Union is the continuing credit union. Partners Financial Federal Credit Union will become Argent Credit Union effective October 1, 2023.
Will the merger affect Argent members in any way?
Only for the better! On February 1, 2024, you will have access to four additional branch locations in the Richmond area. The same friendly staff will continue to be available to serve you. All employees from both credit unions will be retained. Jamie Asciolla, Argent’s current President/CEO will continue to lead the Credit Union.
How many branches will you have?
Together Partners Financial Federal Credit Union and Argent Credit Union will have 8 locations throughout the local Richmond area. In addition, members will enjoy a dedicated full-service Contact Center and e-Services Department.
Can I transact business on my Argent account at any Partners Financial location now?
