How to Enroll in Online Banking for New Users
Set a Username
Create a username six characters long that contains at least one letter.Set a Password
Create a password with at least six characters that contains a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters. Passwords are case sensitive.Get a Code and Complete Setup
You will receive a one-time security passcode via phone or email. Type the code into the registration code box in Online Banking to complete the steps to finish your setup.Your new Username and Password can be used to log in to Mobile Banking as well.

How to Enroll in Mobile Banking
Bring full-service banking home — or to wherever else you happen to be. Here’s how to sign up for Argent Credit Union’s mobile banking service:
- Search for the Argent mobile app on the Apple App Store℠ or Google Play®.
- Download and install the free app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Open the app and select the Sign Up option on the login page.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enroll in mobile banking, which uses the same high-level encryption as online banking. You must also be enrolled in online banking to view your accounts on the mobile app.

Mobile and Online Banking FAQ
How do I enroll in online banking?
You can enroll in online banking by following the “Register Now” link on this page. You’ll be prompted to create a username and password, and you will be sent a one-time security password via text message or email. Enter this code into the registration code box to complete your setup.
Once registered, you will be able to log in to Online Banking and take full advantage of our full range of online financial services. Your username and password can be used to log in to Mobile Banking as well. If you already use the Argent Mobile App, simply select sign up at the bottom of the mobile app login page.
Is mobile and online banking secure?
All banking activity using our secure mobile banking app or online website is transferred using high-level encryption, ensuring that your transactions remain secure and completely private.
Do I need to pay to use mobile or online banking?
Our mobile and banking services are free to use, although fees that are normally charged for certain in-person transactions will also apply online.
What devices are supported for mobile banking?
Our Mobile Banking app runs on Google (Android) phones and tablets as well as Apple iPhones and iPads.
Can I set up account alerts?
Yes, our Mobile Banking and Online Banking services allow you to set up text alerts notifying you of transactions on your accounts.
What is Mobile Check Deposit?
Argent’s Mobile App lets you deposit checks digitally into your savings or checking account with a mobile device. Our App guides you through the process of taking photos of the front and back of your endorsed check to allow you to deposit it into your account.
Is there a fee?
There is no fee to deposit checks using Mobile Deposit.
I see the Mobile Deposit tab in the App, but I get a “not eligible” message.
Accounts that are in good standing are eligible for mobile deposit. You must also be 18 years or older. If you meet these criteria and still get this message, please contact the Credit Union for assistance.
What kind of checks cannot be deposited using Mobile Deposit?
The following types of payment cannot be deposited using our Mobile Deposit service:
- Foreign checks
- Savings bonds
- Checks made payable to an estate
- Third-party checks (double endorsement items)
- Checks payable jointly, unless deposited into an account in the name of all payees
- Checks purported to be lottery or prize-winning payouts
- Checks previously endorsed by Argent Credit Union
- Checks that contain evidence of alteration
- Stale-dated or post-dated checks
- Incomplete checks (missing date, missing payee, improper endorsement, etc.)
- Items stamped “non-negotiable”
- Substitute checks
- Checks previously submitted for deposit
- Checks from your other (non-checking) accounts at Argent
- Checks that are created remotely
- Checks or items prohibited by Argent Credit Union’s current procedures relating to the service or which are otherwise not acceptable under the terms of your Argent Credit Union account
- Checks payable on sight or payable through drafts
- Money orders
How do I endorse my check?
Endorse your check as follows:

Your signature
Your check will not be accepted for deposit if it does not contain your endorsement as noted above. In this case, you will be notified that the check was rejected. If a check was rejected due to circumstances that you can correct, you may resubmit the corrected item.
What should I do with my check after I have submitted it via Mobile Deposit?
After receiving confirmation that the deposit was accepted, please store your check in a safe place for up to 90 days or until the deposit appears on your monthly statement. You are responsible for securely destroying the check or clearly marking it as “VOID” if you wish to keep it for your records.
What types of accounts can I deposit into?
You can make deposits into your savings or checking bank accounts.
Is there a limit to how much I can deposit in a day?
There is a daily deposit limit of $5,000, with a maximum monthly deposit limit of $11,000.
When will my deposit be credited or available?
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Argent holidays. Mobile deposits received and accepted by 2 PM on business days will generally appear in your account by 5 PM the same day. Mobile deposits received and accepted after 2 PM will appear in your account by 5 PM the following business day. Deposit amounts may be adjusted for up to two business days after the deposit is made. Funds deposited will generally be made available no later than two business days from the day of deposit. Argent may make funds available sooner or may extend the hold period beyond two business days based on factors such as new accounts, large deposits, redeposited checks, repeated overdrafts, reasonable doubt of collectability, and emergency conditions.

Mobile Application Deletion
The Google Play Store has implemented a requirement for Argent Credit Union to provide our members with the ability to request removal of their app accounts and any associated data. This requirement is the latest of many recent compliance updates from Google and Apple related to user privacy and data safety.
If you would like to request removal of your app accounts and related data, simply send an email request to eservices@argentcu.org.
Please type “Remove App Account” in the subject line of your email and provide us with a good phone number to reach you at. One of our representatives will be in touch with you to confirm the request is valid and initiate the process.
Please ensure to download electronic copies of past account statements. If this is not completed prior to the deletion, your record statement copies are available at a cost by contacting member services.
Upon execution of this request, Argent Credit Union will delete all associated data held in our digital and internet banking system. This data will no longer be accessible or available to any party. Your accounts will remain active, and your accounts transaction history will remain in our main system history as long as your accounts are open, but all Online and Mobile Banking data will be deleted.
