We’ve Taken Steps to Prevent Potential Fraud

Precautionary Steps:

Did you hear about the unauthorized access to payment card information at Target?

Argent Credit Union is taking steps to reduce potential fraud for our members that may have shopped at a Target store between November 27 and December 15, 2013, paying with a card linked to their checking or credit card account.

If you made a purchase during this time using your Argent Checkcard (debit) and entered your PIN, please go to an Argent owned ATM and change your PIN number.

Once we receive details from VISA® about which Argent accounts were compromised, we will notify those members directly and will order a replacement card and monitor those accounts for any suspicious activity.

In the interim, please monitor your account activity and notify us of any unauthorized transactions.  If you know you had a transaction at Target during the time period noted above and would like for us to go ahead and place an order for a new card, please contact us at 804-748-9488, option 5. For questions related to your VISA® Platinum Card, call 1-800-449-7728.
